Hi everyone. I am so glad to be able to connect with SEBTS faculty and alumni through this new network. I graduated in 2013 with an M.A. in biblical counseling. Since graduation, I have served in churches as a volunteer counselor of women and girls. Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in education with a specialization in instructional design for online learning. My desire is to help biblical training centers provide quality distance education. My own counselor training utilized some online courses and I want to help others who cannot travel to seminaries have access to courses that will equip them for Kingdom service.
My current prayer request is for our church, which has been without a pastor for a year. This is a new church for my husband and I in a new state of residence as well. We believe that God is preparing our church for great things, but the waiting is beginning to take its toll. Please pray for unity and trust as we wait for God’s plan to unfold.
My advice to current students at SEBTS is to enjoy your days of training. You are uniquely blessed to be a part of such a wonderful community of faith and learning. Learn with a mind geared toward excellence and a with humble heart full of gratitude. Finally, keep an open mind about God’s specific plan for your work in expanding his kingdom. He does have a way of surprising you.
God bless you all.
