Blog Submission Guidelines

The purpose of the AlumniSE blog is to provide alumni with a platform to connect with and learn from other alumni. We desire this space to be beneficial for addressing topics relevant to ministry and for practical application of all you learned at Southeastern.


  • Be brief. Aim for 800-1200 words.

  • Be conversational. You’re writing to everyday Christians, from the pulpit to the pew.

  • Be “you-focused.” Focus on your readers, and use personal pronouns.

  • Follow AP Style. Practically, that means you avoid the “Oxford comma.”


Your article should relate to one of these topics:

  • Theology

  • Missions

  • Business

  • Education

  • Discipleship

  • Church Strategy

  • Generational Ministry

  • Politics & Culture

  • Counseling & Relationships

  • Other topics relating to ministry/life/family/etc.


  • Send your Word document, a brief bio (including your personal blog URL if you have one) and headshot to

  • Your submission will be edited and returned to you.

  • Afterwards, your post will be considered for publication. If your submission is approved for publication, you will be notified by the Alumni Office of the publication date.
